Japanese Foreign Minister has strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Iranian territory and called for restraint from all parties involved in the conflict.

Speaking to reporters, Takeshi Iwaya said, “We strongly condemn this recent action, which represents a serious escalation of tensions.”

He added that it is deeply regrettable that military action was undertaken while diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington regarding Iran’s nuclear issue are ongoing.

The Japanese Foreign Minister emphasized that Tokyo calls on “all relevant parties” to exercise the utmost restraint.
