The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that Iran's territorial integrity and sovereignty were violated, residential areas in several cities were attacked and "respected and patriotic" people were martyred.
According to the ministry's statement, "This is an unforgivable crime by the Israeli regime. Iran's security forces will not hesitate to defend the country."
It was further stated that Israel will bear the consequences and there is an expectation for international condemnation: "The Israeli regime's aggressive actions against Iran could not have been carried out without coordination and approval from the U.S. The U.S. government, as the main supporter of this regime, will also be responsible for the effects and implications of the Israeli regime's crimes.
