Iran Press/Iran News: The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Commander of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari, and Head of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Shirazi and other officials.
Delivering a speech in the ceremony, Hossein Khanzadi said that the Navy of the Iranian Army has focused on institutionalizing capacities meaning that after creating a ship, we started to create its spare parts as well.
The commander of the navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran went on to say that the specialized group of the Navy of the Army started to produce prototypes of spare parts to meet the internal needs, and the researchers moved forward.
Since the technologies in the sea are more complex, the guidance of the Leader and his support made us hold exhibitions and show the activities of the navy of the army, Khanzadi added.
The high ranking military official stressed that all spare parts are produced in the country by Iranian knowledge-based companies and the talented youth.
The navy of the army has started a movement to supply all engines and make the country self-sufficient, khanzadi noted.
khanzadi highlighted that this year’s exhibition is a great achievement for the next year which improves the technology and equipment of the Navy.
Although sanctions caused problems for us at the beginning, they created opportunities for us and the navy of the army could support its equipment focusing on local capacities, the commander concluded.
