Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health announced in her presser on Sunday that 948,749 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 658,292 of the total infected people recovered.

Iran Press/Iran news: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to November 29, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 12,950 cases out of whom 1,795 patients were hospitalized," the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 389 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 47,874.

5,859 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

So far, 6,081,925 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamedan, Yazd, and Kordestan are regarded as red zones.

Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are also regarded as orange and yellow zones.
