The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a message condemning the assassination of Martyr Fakhrizadeh, emphasized that the perpetrators of this great crime will definitely be punished, and added that the path of Martyr Fakhrizadeh will continue faster than before.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense, was assassinated and martyred on Friday afternoon local time in Damavand, Tehran Province, by unknown individuals during an armed conflict with his bodyguards.

Following the martyrdom of  Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a prominent scientist, Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said: "Such crimes will not undermine the determination of the Iranians to continue this glorious path, and perpetrators will be severely punished."

In another part of this message, Major General Salami stated: "Undoubtedly, the valuable efforts of this honorable martyr in the field of the defence industry and other strategic areas of the country, as well as the field of countering the coronavirus will remain in the historical memory of Iranians while inspiring the students in the universities and higher science and technology centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, certainly there will be more honors and amazing advances in the future."

The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also congratulated the martyrdom of this prominent scientist and successful director to Iran's Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the people of Iran, martyred Fakhrizadeh's colleagues in the Ministry of Defense and his family. 219
