Tehran (IP) - Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said Mohammad Javad Zarif will attend the 2020 Afghanistan Conference in Geneva.

Iran Press/Iran News: Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh added: "Geneva conferences for Afghanistan are held every four years, and the main focus of the discussions is the commitment of countries to establishing peace, stability, and development in Afghanistan."

This year, 66 countries and 32 international organizations will participate in the conference, but the conference will be held via videoconferencing due to the coronavirus pandemic.
