Iran PressIran News: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Friday called the New York Times' report about the Iranian deputy foreign minister's contact with the US projected president Joe Biden's team a hoax and said yellow journalism has become a common practice in some media, especially these days.

Khatibzadeh called the news completely fabricated.

The New York Times reported, citing diplomatic sources that "Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has tried to pass on to Biden’s advisers through intermediaries Tehran’s insistence that the United States return to the Iran Nuclear Deal unconditionally before any talks resume."
