Secretary-general of Iran's Parliamentary Group in Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) calls Saudi bombardment on Yemeni people "a genocide."

Iran Press/Iran news: In a joint virtual meeting of the United Nations and the IPU to review UN peacekeeping operations, Secretary-General of Iran's Parliamentary Group in IPU Mojtaba Rezakhah said the attack on Yemenis by the Saudi coalition has killed several hundred thousand of them and endangered peace in the region and has brought the famine and lack of health facilities for children and women amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

He stated that unfortunately, the world does not have a clear position on these events and has acted passively, which has endangered world peace.

The meeting was held on Thursday with the participation of the United Nations and its peace experts.
