India (IP) - National President of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) called on the Muslims around the world to unite against the pseudo-Muslims who are sabotaging the basic tenets of Islam.

Iran Press/ Asia: Prof K.M. Kader Mohideen condemned the French president’s blasphemy against Islam and said Macron is repeatedly issuing statements justifying the publication of satirical cartoons of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in a French weekly journal.

Noting that the Holy Prophet’s image does not exist in any of the world literature, art, and sculpture, he said: “It is the firm belief of the Muslims that imagining a fancied caricature of the figure of the Holy Prophet is not only distorting the history but as well questioning the very basic principle of Islam.”

The Indian Prof. said that freedom of expression never encourages the policy of disrespecting the religious belief and sentiments of the “major minorities” of the people of his own country, adding that through justifying the “satirical cartoon culture” in France, Macron distorts the very secular ideals.

He emphasized that the French president must know that the Islamic Scholars of the world have condemned the beheading of a teacher in a French school and the violent attacks leveled against the churches.

“A few misguided youths bearing the Arabic Muslim names are not the representatives of the world Muslim community nor are they the voice of Islam - the religion of perfect peace, harmonizing the minds and hearts of the people of the globe,” he noted.

The statement demanded the France president to make sincere endeavors to understand the belief and sentiments of the Muslim community and called on the Muslim world to unite against the pseudo-Muslims who are sabotaging the basic tenets of Islam.
