Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, announced in her presser on Wednesday that 801,894 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 576,983 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran PressIran News: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to November 18, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 13,421 cases out of whom 2,837patients were hospitalized," Lari stated.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 480 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 42,941, and 5,712 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 5,626,631 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azarbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, Yazd, and Kordestan are regarded as red zones.

Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are also regarded as orange and yellow zones.
