Iranian female director to judge at Herat film festival

The Iranian female director Narges Abyar was selected as a juror to judge at the sixth round of the Herat International Women’s Film Festival (HIWFF) in Afghanistan.

Iran PressAsia: The prominent Iranian film director went into the Herat International Women's Film Festival jury, which consists of filmmakers and women's rights activists from Afghanistan, India, the United States, Spain, Russia, Greece, Tajikistan, France, and Turkey.

In the previous round of this festival Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, another prominent Iranian filmmaker was present as a judge.

The sixth edition of the Herat International Women’s Film Festival will be held in two sections: World Cinema, with a free theme, and Women's Cinema, which focuses on women's issues.

Out of 300 films submitted to the festival from 122 countries, 73 selected from 27 countries and entered the festival in two sections of competition and screening.
