Tehran (IP) - Afghanistan ambassador Abdul Ghafoor Liwal to Tehran said that the terrorist attack on Kabul University once again warned the people of Afghanistan and the region that terrorism is still a potential regional and global threat.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Thurday, Abdul Ghafoor Liwal stressed: "The most important issue is regional consensus and joint cooperation to fight terrorism."

The Afghanistan ambassador to Tehran stated that to fight terrorism, extremism and providing people's comfort and security, the cooperation of the regional and the world's countries cooperation is necessary.

Iran has sympathized with the Afghan nation by shining light on Tehran's Azadi Tower on Thursday night after the recent terrorist attack on Kabul University.

At least 22 people were killed and dozens more injured in a terrorist attack Monday at Kabul University, Afghanistan’s largest, with a student body of about 22,000. The Islamic State in Afghanistan claimed credit for the attack.
