Maradona hospitalised, no Covid-19 issues

The World Cup winner Diego Maradona reported feeling unwell so has been admitted for tests, but it is not thought to be related to COVID-19.

Iran PressAmerica: Maradona has been admitted to hospital in his native Argentina, according to local media reports.

The legendary former Argentina international, who turned 60 last month, has reportedly been taken to the Ipensa clinic in La Plata, about an hour from Buenos Aires.

Although there has been no official word, Ole is reporting that his condition is not serious and is not related to COVID-19 as he had tested negative in recent days.

Maradona, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse and poor health, is considered at high risk of coronavirus complications should he be infected.

He has suffered two heart attacks in the past and contracted hepatitis.
