The Australian Foreign Ministry has warned its citizens about traveling to the United States due to the fear of unrest and violence after the presidential election on 3 November.

Iran PressAsia: With just two days to go before the US presidential election, the Australian government has warned its citizens about traveling to the United States due to the possibility of escalating protests and unrest in the country after the November 3 election.

Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says travelers entering the United States are currently facing three risks of escalating protests and unrest, terrorism and Covid-19.

In recent days, with the approach of the US presidential election day, warnings about unrest on this day and its aftermath, in the US have increased.

Amnesty International recently stated in a report that US security forces are currently unable to prevent peaceful gatherings and protests, noting that during the presidency of Donald Trump, the security of protesters and voters is no longer guaranteed.

Amnesty International reported in the report that between May and September 2020, violence and conflict were recorded in 75% of election rallies across the United States.

Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, blamed Trump's actions for the escalation of violence in the United States.

In the meantime; the Council on Foreign Relations said some supporters of the US president, as well as heavily armed militias, have vowed to resort to violence if Trump loses the election.

The US presidential election will be held on November 3.
