Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif denies the exchange of two detained spies with the United States, saying that the foreign ministry has offered to exchange all prisoners on both sides in all parts of the world.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to the rumors of the exchange of two detained spies with the United States, Zarif said: "This news is 100 percent lie."

"We have proposed a comprehensive exchange of prisoners between the two countries. We have prisoners in different countries ordered by the United States, and we have prisoners in the United States too. There are people in the US who have even had their sentences ended, but the Americans prevented them from returning to Iran," Zarif added.

Iran's foreign minister noted: "Accordingly, we suggested that all prisoners on both sides be exchanged everywhere, and we emphasize on this issue, but the claims of the exchange of two detained spies with the United States is a complete lie."

Some media outlets have claimed in recent days that two controversial spies in Iran will soon be exchanged with the United States.
