Iranian Sunni scholars condemn Macron's anti-Islam move

North Khorasan (IP) - The Sunni scholars of North Khorasan on Tuesday resealed statement to slam the French President's stance toward insulting the Holy Prophet considering the move along with Islamophobia and damaging the religious sanctities of Muslims.

Iran PressIran News: The Sunni scholars of North Khorasan, while issuing a statement condemning the heinous act of French President Emmanuel Macron, considered insulting the holy religion of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (PBUH) along with Islamophobia and damaging the religious sanctities of one and a half billion Muslims.

“Insulting the religious values of a large segment of the world's population is not only an act against morality; rather, this inhuman act proved that the West regards freedom of speech for immoral freedom and shamelessness.”, the statement concluded.

Macron on Wednesday accused Muslims of separatism and vowed not to give up cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammed.
