Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati issued a statement condemning the insult of the French authorities to the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

Iran Press/Iran News:  "The message of divine revelation to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has conveyed mercy between human beings, bringing the highest and most beautiful tenors," the statement said.

The statement, elsewhere, stressed, "Dual attitudes and standards have led to a form of polytheistic and anti-religious thinking in the French education system."

It noted that "The great and unforgivable sin of the supporters of these actions is that they have approved and encouraged the insulters under the guise of freedom of expression and modernity. Certainly, such actions will cause sorrow to Muslims, libertarians, and justice seekers in the world, and will lead to the growing unity and solidarity of Muslims, the awakening of individuals in Islamic societies, and the global condemnation of these sinister movements."

"The World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, as stated earlier, while condemning this great crime and insult, calls on all Muslims to thwart these anti-Islamic conspiracies while maintaining vigilance and awareness," the statement concluded.
