The political bureau chief of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Sunday stressed that an agreement with Israel will never lead to the regime's desired regional map.

Iran PressMiddle East: Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said in response to Sudan's joining the list of countries with normalized relations with the regime saying: "An agreement with the Zionist enemy will never lead to Israel regime desired regional map.”

According to Al-Mayadin, Haniyeh said: "The agreement between Sudan and Israel will never serve as an indicator of the acceptance of the matter by the Sudanese people and their historical position in defending the Palestinians."

The head of the Hamas political bureau added: "The map of the region is defined only by the nations that are committed to our principles, and firm rights in Palestine."

He noted: "Arab nations will not recognize the usurping Israel regime."

Haniyeh added: "Arab nations do not accept the existence of the usurping Israel regime at the cost of violating the rights of our people."

In another part of his speech, Haniyeh addressed the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, calling for an end to the policy of insulting the Holy Prophet of Islam(PBUH).

Macron recently made a brazen statement that France would continue to publish insulting cartoons against the Holy Prophet of Islam, which provoked a strong reaction from Muslims.

Haniyeh also announced the group's decision to send a delegation to Cairo headed by its deputy, Saleh al-Aruri.

Hamas' political bureau chief added that the Hamas delegation will discuss a number of issues of common concern, especially those related to Palestinian reconciliation and national unity, with Egyptian officials.

The US President, Donald Trump officially announced at the White House on Friday evening that the normalization of relations between Israel and Sudan has begun.

Following this action, various Palestinian groups condemned the decision, calling it another betrayal to the Palestinian people and considering it contrary to Sudan's brilliant record in supporting the Palestinian people and its cause.
