Richter quake hits Iran's Qazvin province

Qazvin (IP) - An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale has hit Avaj County in Qazvin Province on Saturday evening.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to Iran’s Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the earthquake occurred at 15:04 local time at the depth of 10 kilometers.

The epicenter of the quake was located at 48.97 degrees longitude and 35.69 degrees latitude.

Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the affected areas to assess the situation.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.
