Iran Press/Iran news: Rouhani's words came during his participation in the virtual inauguration of Mehr Housing National Projects across Iran together with the Iranian Minister of Transport and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami on Thursday.
Rouhani said: "Housing is a very important driving force in most industries, in the manufacturing sector, and in the job creation process."
The President added: "In the housing sector, we are completely self-sufficient in terms of building materials."
Rouhani went on to explain further that Engineering operations for housing services are carried out in the country, and the production of building material materials from iron and metal, tiles, ceramics, and everything needed for construction is produced and the surplus would be exported.
Rouhani said: "Housing in the year of "surge in production "is effective for the country's manufacturing sector and can create a great change in production and employment."
