The Chadian army announced on Tuesday that members of the Boko Haram terrorist group had attacked a group of soldiers in the Tchoukou Maria area on the Chadian-Nigerian border.

Iran PressAfrica: At least six Chadian soldiers were killed and 12 others wounded in the attack, said Chad army spokesman Azem Bermendoa Agouna.

The Boko Haram terrorist group took up arms in 2009 with the aim of establishing itself in northern Nigeria and expanded its attacks to Niger, Chad and northern Cameroon.

With the inability of the governments countering the Boko Haram terrorist group, especially Nigeria, the war against the Boko Haram terrorist group has turned into a war of attrition.
