Nigerian security sources say three soldiers have been killed and a number missing after a Boko Haram terrorist attack in northeastern Nigeria.

Iran PressAfrica: The terrorist attack took place on Saturday in Borno state (northeastern Nigeria). While the Nigerian military claims to have defeated the Boko Haram terrorist group, the group's terrorist attacks continue in various parts of the country.

The Boko Haram terrorist group took up arms in 2009 with the aim of establishing itself in northern Nigeria and expanded its attacks to Niger, Chad and northern Cameroon.

Boko Haram has killed more than 20,000 people in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad and displaced more than two million during its terrorist activity.
