AFC agrees to refer Alekasir case to the Appeals Committee

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced that it has accepted a request by Persepolis Club to refer the case of deprivation of Issa Alekasir t to the AFC Appeals Committee.

Iran PressAsia: According to Persepolis Director of Legal Affairs, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) through a letter announced accepting of Persepolis Club's request to refer the case of Issa Alekasir to the AFC's Appeals Committee.

Therefore, Persepolis Club should send its bill to this confederation by the end of the week in protest of the issued vote on Alekasir.

AFC Discipline and Ethics Committee issued a decision on Oct. 3. to suspend Persepolis Striker's Issa Alekasir for a period of 6 months due to what the committee saw as racist behavior on his part against Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan.

Alekasir has denied any racist intent and also said that he did the same in the previous games, Persepolis Club also submitted its complaint with documents. 207
