Iran Press/ Iran news: In the last six months, Iranian steel companies produced 14 million and 392,000 tons of steel ingots (billets, blooms, and slabs), which shows a 10% increase compared to the same period last year (13 million and 89,000 tons).
Also, the production of steel products (beams, rebars, angles, studs, and sheets) in the last six months has been 11 million and 3,000 tons, which indicates an 8% increase of this product compared to the figure in the same period last year (10 million and 173,000 tons).
According to the report, the production of sponge iron in the last six months has been 15 million and 562,000 tons, which shows a 10% increase compared to the figure produced in the same period last year (14 million 185 thousand tons).
