Tehran (IP) - The Special Aide to Iran's Parliament Speaker for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the US heyday is over and the world is witnessing Washington's downfall.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the 5th international meeting on "Warriors in Foreign Countries," Amir-Abdollahian added that the two US presidential candidates showed in their debates how miserable the United States is.

"The revolt of the people of 50 US states also indicates the United States' problems in the world and its sudden collapse," he stated.

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that the former Soviet Union and the United States are no longer actors worldwide. Still, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine have played the most influential role in the region.

With more than five years of resistance by men, women, and youth, Yemen has prompted Saudi Arabia to seek a dignified escape from Yemen, he said.

The special aide to Iran's parliament speaker noted that the United States and Britain also faced many problems in the war with Yemen.

The new policy, the enemies of the region and the resistance, along with some US-led countries, tried to overthrow the Syrian government, but with the help of the Resistance, not only this goal was not achieved, but now the countries in the region are trying to establish relations with Syria, Amir-Abdolahian stated.

The Iranian official went on to say that targeting a US base in Iraq with 13 ballistic missiles is just revenge for Martyr Soleimani's car, and the US knows the revenge for his blood will be tougher.

US forces assassinated General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha’abi, and their companions by targeting their vehicles outside Baghdad International Airport on January 3.

The act of terror was carried out under the direction of US President Donald Trump, with the Pentagon taking responsibility for the strike.

The special aide to Iran's parliament speaker for international affairs stressed: "We will react if the normalization of relations between the UAE and Bahrain with the Zionist regime endangers the security of the region and our allies."

The 5th international meeting on "Warriors in Foreign Countries" was held with ambassadors from some Islamic countries and representatives from Palestinian resistance movements in attendance.
