Jordan:Continuation of Israel's settlement construction illegal

A Jordanian Foreign Ministry Spokesman called the continuation of Israeli settlement construction in the occupied Palestinian territories unilateral and illegal.

Iran PressMiddle East: Daifallah Al-Fayez on Thursday condemned the Israeli decision to continue construction of settlements in the Palestinian territories and called for a complete halt to it.

Al-Fayez called on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli regime and prevent it from continuing its occupying activities.

Last day, Palestinian Government Spokesman Nabil Aboradineh condemned the silence of international bodies over the Israeli regime's continued settlement construction and called it a violation of all international resolutions.

The Supreme Planning Council of the Israeli regime on Wednesday approved the construction of 2,166 new settlement units in the occupied West Bank territories.

The Israeli regime's decision to continue constructing settlements comes after the governments of the UAE and Bahrain claimed that the normalization of their relations with the Zionist regime would prevent the regime from further occupying the Palestinian territories.

The UN and most countries in the world consider the Israelis' settlement construction in the occupied Palestinian territories illegal.
