Iran Press/ Iran News: Delivering a speech at the inauguration ceremony of the permanent exhibition of Self-Sufficiency Jihad of Railway, the head of Iran Railway Saeed Rasouli said that 26,000 cargo wagon,1700 passenger wagon, and 900 locomotives are in use in the Islamic Republic of Iran Railway.
The official added that all these equipment are the country’s assets, but due to the lack of byways network, they could not give proper service, he added.
Referring to capacities, opportunities, and financial resources in the country, the Head of the Railway said Iran would not stop its activity due to sanctions.
There are enough infrastructures in the defense industry that can pave the way for us in the railway industry to reach a stable point, the deputy minister noted.
Referring the projects that are ready to be launched next week, Rasouli also pointed to the exhibition and said the exhibition showcases the spare parts that are domestically-made and also made an opportunity for producers and consumers to negotiate to import spare parts that are available, expressing hoping that knowledge-based companies can produce a domestic prototype, he concluded.
