Tehran (IP)- A group of members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament visited the borderline of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Iran PressIran News: Following the war between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the shooting of several bullets into Iranian territory, members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament visited Khodaafarin and Aslanduz in East Azerbaijan and Ardebil provinces today.

In recent days and with the start of the war between the two sides, several mortars and rockets have hit areas inside Iran's soil.

The delegation visited a damaged house as well as targeted farms in Khodaafarin city.

The Ali Amiri Rad, Governor of the city of Khodaafarin, northwest of Iran, said that more than ten mortar shells hit the border areas of Iran near the city, following the clashes between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh region.

The conflict between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia began in 1988, turning into a military conflict in 1991 and has once again intensified with the intervention of some foreign countries. The new round of clashes started last Sunday, with several forces on both sides killed and wounded.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh pointed on Saturday to some aggressions on the Iranian soil from the conflicts between Armenian and Azerbaijan Republic and stressed that the aggression of parties involved in the war into Iranian territory is intolerable.

In recent days, clashes between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia have resulted in several rockets and missiles fired by the conflicting parties in some Iranian villages and areas adjacent to the border between the two countries, which injured a five-year-old Iranian child.
