AFC suspended Iran Al Kathir for six month

AFC decided to stop Persepolis Striker's Isa Al Kasir from practicing any activity related to football for a period of 6 months.

Iran Press/Asia: AFC Discipline and Ethics Committee issued a decision to suspend Persepolis Striker's Isa Al Kasir for a period of 6 months due to what the committee saw as a racist behavior on his part against Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan.

Al Kasir has denied any racist intent and also said that he did the same in the previous games, Persepolis Club also submitted its complaint with documents.

Persepolis football team gained a 2-0 victory over its rival Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the 2020 AFC Champions League.

Persepolis faces Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr in the semi-final tonight (Saturday), having faced their city rivals Al Hilal SFC at the same stage in 2017, losing 6-2 on aggregate.
