Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said on Friday that so far, 464,596 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 385,264 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 2, 2020, 3,552 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,443 of patients were hospitalized," said Lari.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 187 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 26,567.

4,137 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 4,067,861 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out: "Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones."
