Senior adviser, Hope Hicks first suspect for Trump's positive test

Hope Hicks, one of the US President Donald Trump's closest advisers, has tested positive for the coronavirus, and she is the first suspect in Trump's positive test for coronavirus.

Iran PressAmerica: Ms. Hicks, 31, has traveled with the president a number of times during the past week, including on presidential helicopter Marine One, and on Air Force One to Tuesday night's first presidential debate.

She felt poorly in Minnesota and quarantined aboard the presidential plane on the way home, according to people familiar with the matter.

"Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for COVID 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!" Trump tweeted Thursday night.

"She did test positive, I just heard about this. She tested positive. She's a hard worker. A lot of masks, she wears masks a lot but she tested positive. Then I just went out with a test. I'll see -- you know because we spent a lot of time -- and the first lady just went out with a test also. So whether we quarantine or whether we have it, I don't know," Trump said during a call-in appearance on Fox News' "Hannity."

He added, "I just went for a test and we'll see what happens, I mean, who knows. ... I spent a lot of time with Hope and so does the first lady, and she's tremendous."

After this statements US President Donald Trump and US first lady Melania Trump tested positive for coronavirus, the President announced officially early Friday morning, an extraordinary development coming months into a global pandemic and in the final stretch of his reelection campaign.
