The names of prominent Iranian celebrities shine through the streets of Rome, the capital of Italy.

One of the most prominent signs of cultural interaction and ties between the two nations of Iran and Italy can be found in one of the most beautiful and central squares of Rome called Ferdowsi Square.

This square is not only named after this famous Iranian poet but also a statue of Abolqasem Ferdowsi has been installed. Ferdowsi Square is located near one of the green and historical areas of Rome, which is both a promenade for the people of this city and a place for foreign tourists.

The statue of the famous Iranian poet Abolqasem Ferdowsi was erected in Rome 62 years ago.

Another street in the ancient city of Rome is that of the Iranian philosopher and scientist Abu Ali Sina, known to the Italians as AVICENNA.

Ciro il Grande (Cyrus the Great) is also the name of another street in the Italian capital. This street is located in the lush neighborhood of EUR, one of the most famous areas of Rome.
