Tehran (IP): The Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani called the normalization of ties with the Zionist regime as the biggest betrayal as well as the obvious violation of the right of the Palestinians saying that the move will not only lead to fomenting insecurity and the disputes among the regional countries but will pose the compromising countries to the serious threat.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Mohammed Hussein who has been recently on a state visit to Tehran met Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani and discussed cementing bilateral issues as well as the latest developments in the regional and the international arena.

Elsewhere in this meeting, Shamkhani stressed the need for collective cooperation, referring to the stabilizing capacity of the countries in the region, which can be activated in the shadow of regional dialogue and cooperation without the intervention of trans-regional forces.

"This is a great betrayal and a clear violation of the rights of the Palestinian people," he said, referring to the Zionist regime's plan to normalize relations with some countries in the region under US pressure.  "In addition to spreading insecurity and creating discord among the countries of the region, the existence of compromising countries will also be seriously endangered."

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council stated that the bilateral agreements between Tehran and Baghdad are of strategic importance and made the remark that by accelerating the full implementation of these agreements, while further improving the level of relations between the two countries, a successful model of comprehensive cooperation can be provided.

Shamkhani considered the assassination of Lt General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as obvious examples of state terrorism and stressed that the least punishment for the perpetrators of this great crime is an immediate departure from the region, especially the country where this crime took place.

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said: "The serious pursuit of this cowardly assassination through the international community is the least action that is expected to be done by the Iraqi government."

During the meeting, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced his country's determination to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that the Iraqi government and people will never forget the support and sacrifice of the Iranian people, especially the zealous Iranian youth in repelling Takfiri terrorism from Iraq.

"Iran and Iraq are two neighboring countries, friends and brothers with long borders and many commonalities," he said, noting that Saddam could not create a separation between the two nations after the eight-year war, and this is a good reason that no foreign party can have an impact on the good relations between the two countries."
