Tehran (IP)- Arbaeen internet TV inaugurated on Saturday night to benefit pilgrims who could not travel to Iraq this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Iran PressIran News: Arbaeen TV, inaugurated on Saturday night in Press TV studio with the Head of the Health Ministry Public Relations office Kianoush Jahanpour, and the Head of Iran's Emergency Medical Services Pir-Hossein Kolivand, in attendance.

In this ceremony, the video messages of the Health Minister Saeed Namaki were displayed too.

"This year, Muharram rituals were held differently from previous years. My colleagues, and I as well as the clerics and the people tried to observe the principles of hygiene, although, in some places, mourners neglected them", Namaki said.

Our leader had maximum support in this regard, he highlighted.

The minister noted that this year, Shia and Muslims would hold Arbaeen differently; this is something that Iraq asked us to do. Pilgrims, who used to walk to Karbala in previous years, will show their devotion in far distances.

Inaugurating Arbaeen TV in IRIB reflects all devotions to Imam Hossein(PBUH), he concluded.
