Israeli media reported on Thursday that Benjamin Netanyahu had agreed to build 5,000 new housing units in the West Bank.

Iran Press/Middle East: Netanyahu has called for an urgent meeting of the regime's High Council for Urban Management Planning to approve the construction of more than 5,000 new housing units in the West Bank.

The announcement comes as the UAE, after announcing a compromise and normalization agreement with the Zionist regime, claimed that the suspension of the occupation plan was part of the agreement and that Tel Aviv had promised to suspend its implementation; The claim was soon denied by Zionist officials, led by Netanyahu.

The UAE and Bahraini foreign ministers recently signed an agreement to normalize relations with the Israeli regime in the presence of US President Donald Trump, contrary to the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The UAE and Bahrain's attempt to normalize relations with the Zionist regime has been widely criticized in the Islamic world.

The Zionist regime always continues to build Zionist settlements regardless of the will of the international community and has the support of the United States in this regard.

All of these settlements are illegal under international law.

In a resolution (Resolution 2334), the UN Security Council on 23 December 2016 called on the Zionist regime to immediately and completely suspend all its settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

By building Zionist settlements, the Israeli regime seeks to change the geographical structure of the Palestinian territories and give them Zionist faces in order to consolidate its hegemony in the Palestinian territories.
