Iran-Russia talks on military cooperation continue, Zarif says

Moscow (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Minister said the Tehran-Moscow talks on military cooperation would continue.

Iran PressEurope: "Iran and Russia have had severe and good talks on military cooperation," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Moscow, told Sputnik on Thursday before meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Zarif went on to say about US dual national prisoners in Iran and how they are exchanged: "Iran is ready to exchange all dual national prisoners through a third country like Switzerland."

The Iranian Foreign Minister further referred to Iran's cooperation with its neighbors and said: "Iran's cooperation with its neighbors continues despite illegal US sanctions."

Emphasizing the futility of US sanctions against Iran, the Minister said: "The United States is well aware that sanctions and the policy of maximum pressure against Iran have failed."

Regarding the continuation of the Saudi coalition's aggression against Yemen, the official added: "Saudi-led coalition have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in the war against Yemen."

Regarding the recent agreements between the Zionist regime and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, the Iranian Foreign Minister said: "The normalization of relations have taken place years ago and is not new, and the deal was another treacherous stab to the Palestinian cause."
