IRIB backs knowledge-based companies

Tehran (IP) - The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Abdulali Ali-Asgari visited the Pardis Technology Park in Tehran.

Iran PressIran News: The event, hosted by Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, was attended by a group of CEOs of companies active in the park, CEOs from the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, and the head of the technology park.

In the meeting, Aliasgari said, before the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the scientific gap between Iran and the developed countries was enormous. Still, with the Iranian revolution, Iran achieved self-sufficiency and independence in science and technology.

"IRIB policy is to promote development and progress; we hope that today's visit to Pardis Technology Park will be a turning point in the cooperation between IRIB and the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology," the head of the Iranian national media said.

The Vice President for Science and Technology said for his part, "from the very beginning the knowledge-based economy project, IRIB has had extraordinary cooperation with us, and this is commendable, and Mr. Aliasgari's visit to the park is a serious development in our cooperation."
