Tunisia plays constructive role in addressing issues of Islamic world

Tehran (IP) - The Special Assistant to the Speaker of Iran’s parliament for International Affairs said Tunisia has played a constructive role in the Muslim world's issues.

Iran Press/Iran news: Meeting with Tunisia's Ambassador to Tehran Tarek Bettaieb, Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed on solidarity between Iran and Tunisia with Palestine and appreciated the Tunisian stance in support of the Palestinians' rights.

Amirabdollahian also appreciated condemnation of some Arab states' normalization of ties with the Israeli regime by Tunisia. 

Pointing to expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries' parliaments, he stressed the formation of friendship groups, saying with the shape of the groups will make a new chapter of collaboration between the two countries will be started. 

Tunisia's Ambassador to Tehran Tarek Bettaieb, for his part, pointed to the long-standing and friendly ties between Iran and Tunisia and said the expansion of relations with Iran is of paramount importance for his country.

Tarek Bettaieb stressed the support of the Palestinian nation's cause and freedom of the Holy al-Quds and added: "the oppressed people of Palestine are now facing the most horrible colonization in the world, which is being imposed on them by the racist and usurping Zionist regime."
