Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki expressed that during the coronavirus outbreak enemies tried to downsize Iran but failed to do so.

Iran Press/Iran news: Saeed Namaki stated that while Iran has been fighting the coronavirus, enemies were glad and thought COVID-19 would cause a decline in Iran.

Although the second wave of the coronavirus has successfully been contained, the third wave has been emerged over ignoring health protocols, according to the minister.

Namaki highlighted that the people and officials have done their best in combating the virus and extending the health infrastructure under tough economic challenges.

"By implementing all protocols, no one would be infected."

Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki on Tuesday inaugurated 23 medical centers all across the country including 201 hospital beds via video conferencing.

These centers were built on the basis of 26,935- square –meter floor area and with a credit of 2980 billion Rials, which were put into operation on Tuesday.

The move has been done as a part of the 'Healthy path' campaign which has been operationalized in Lorestan, Khuzestan (cities of Dezful and Abadan), and Kermanshah provinces.

Furthermore, the campaign is aimed at inaugurating some 10,600 hospital beds including 1400 projects (of the ones to be used in ICU) by April 1, 2021.
