Abdullah Abdullah thanks Iran supporting peace in Afghanistan

Kabul (IP)- Hours after Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed Tehran's readiness to help the peace process in Afghanistan, Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation Chairman Abdullah Abdullah in his meeting with Iran's ambassador appreciated Tehran's support of the peace process in Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Asia: Abdullah Abdullah met with Bahador Aminian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, at the Sepidar Palace in Kabul.

In the meeting the Chairman of Afghanistan's High Council for National Reconciliation thanked Iran for its support of the Afghan peace process, referring to the peace process between Afghans and its start in Doha, Qatar.

 In a statement released by the Afghan media, Aminian also expressed satisfaction with the start of peace talks between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban and emphasized Iran's support to the peace process and stability in Afghanistan.
