The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Saturday strongly condemned the Bahrain-Israel agreement to establish diplomatic ties, adding it will deal a fresh blow to efforts to defend the Palestinian cause.

Iran Press/Middle East: "It will further encourage Israel to continue illegitimate practices towards Palestine and its efforts to make the occupation of Palestinian lands permanent," the ministry statement said, referring to the US-cooked plot regarding the UAE to normalize ties with the Zionist regime. 

Manama and Tel Aviv agreed on Friday to fully normalize diplomatic relations following US President Donald Trump's efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the two sides. 

Bahrain, a tiny island kingdom off the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf, has strategic significance for Washington as the host for the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
