Tehran (IP) - The Mayor of Tehran Pirouz Hanachi stated that 240 km of the usable line has been built in the Tehran metro so far.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at the inauguration of the Tehran Metro Line 10th project on Tuesday night, the mayor added  that the construction of another 240 kilometers of the metro line is also on the agenda.

Hanachi noted that 40 km of this 240 km will be built in the form of line 10th.

The Vice President and Head of the Planning and Budget Organization of Iran (PBO) Mohammad-Bagher Nobakht also announced the allocation of 8,500 billion tomans of assistance to municipalities for the development of the metro by the end of the current Iranian year (starting from March 21).

Nobakht stated that the government is obliged to participate in the construction of metro lines for the welfare of citizens.

With a length of 43 km, Tehran Metro Line 10th starts from Vardavard metro station in the west of Tehran and ends after passing 35 stations in the ​​Ghanat Kowsar district in the east of the city.
