The head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh met with Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Iran PressMiddle East: During the meeting, the general political and military developments in Palestine and Lebanon as well as the dangers threatening Palestine, especially the US-Israeli-cooked 'Deal of the Century', the plan to normalize the Arab rulers' relations with the Israeli regime and the nation's responsibility towards it were discussed.

The meeting also stressed the stability of the Resistance Axis against all pressures and threats, as well as strengthening relations between Hezbollah and Hamas based on faith, brotherhood, diligence, and common destiny, and developing an approach of cooperation and coordination between the two sides.

The head of the Hamas political bureau arrived in Beirut on Tuesday night, leading a high-level delegation.

This is Ismail Haniyeh's first trip to Beirut during the last 27 years.is

On Wednesday, Haniyeh met with senior Lebanese officials, including Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Hassan Diab.

He also met with a group of Lebanese religious scholars.
