Residents of the Yemeni island of Socotra protested against the aggression of the UAE and the Zionist regime and the establishment of a military base on the island, demanding the dismantling of these bases.

Iran PressMiddle East: Yemeni citizens living in the southern province of Socotra on Friday protested against the UAE's aggression and the establishment of a military base on the island, demanding the dismantling of the bases, as media and diplomatic sources affiliated with the resigned Yemeni government said.

The people of the Yemeni island also condemned the presence of the Zionist regime on the island and called for an end to the Zionist occupation and their Arab supporters in the province.

The Zionist regime intends to establish espionage bases in cooperation with the UAE on the strategic island of Socotra, which overlooks the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, in a speech on the occasion of Ashura on Sunday, stressed the Yemeni nation's resistance against the Saudi and Emirati aggressors, saying Yemenis finalized their status toward the camp of hypocrisy.
