The US President blamed 'domestic terror' for the violence in Kenosha in Wisconsin, making no reference to the underlying cause of anger and protests — the shooting of Black man Jacob Blake.

Iran PressAmerica: The city has been rocked by protests for over a week, since the shooting of Jacob Blake - a black man hit several times in the back, apparently in front of his three young sons.

Trump is visiting the city despite the objections of local leaders, with many believing the president's trip is part of his focus on the "law and order" theme ahead of the November 3 presidential election.

Trump declared the violence “anti-American”.

After visiting the burnt remains of a block besieged by violence and fire, Trump said, “These are not acts of peaceful protest but, really, domestic terror.”

He condemned Democrats for not immediately accepting his offer of federal assistance, claiming: “They just don’t want us to come, these governors don’t want to call, and the mayors don’t want to call. They have to ask.”

The city has the scene of anti-injustice protests since the August 23 shooting of Blake, who was hit seven times in the back by police as he was getting into a car while they were trying to arrest him.
