Turkish president meets Hamas political chief in Istanbul

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh at Istanbul's Vahid al-Din Palace.

Iran Press/Asia: According to Anatolia News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Hakan Fidan, head of the Turkish intelligence service, Fakhreddin Alton, head of the Turkish Presidential communications center, and Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman for the Turkish presidency.

The meeting took place without the presence of reporters.

Most experts consider the meeting to be a consultation between the two sides on the so-called 'deal of the century' between the United States and the Zionist regime.

The President of Turkey also in a telephone conversation with Mahmoud Abbas the head of the Palestinian Authority on Friday, said: "The Arab countries supporting the Trump peace plan, known as the 'Deal of the Century', are betraying not only al-Quds and the Palestinian people but more importantly, humanity."
