Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the UN Security Council's resolution No. 2231, the US must cancel all the sanctions it imposed on Iran, after its withdrawal from the 2015-nuclear deal.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Tuesday, refuting some news quoted by anonymous sources on the temporary cancellation of a part of the so-called non-purposeful sanctions, called them as fake news with no certain purposes.

Stressing that the topic of the US and Europe's dispute is likely to be the failure of the US policies, Mousavi said that what is concerned with Iran is that the US unilateral sanctions on the country are cruel and illegal.

On May 8, 2018, the US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the internationally signed agreement of JCPOA and announced the return of nuclear sanctions, in violation of Washington's commitments under the international deal.
