Rouhani: Inciting government inefficiency; psychological war against Iran

Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that inducting the inefficiency of the government and distorting the great abilities and successes of the country is the main axis of the psychological war of the enemies against the Iranian nation.

Iran Press/Iran News: The President called the disappointment of the people and the weakening of the front line fighters of the economic battlefield as examples of distortion and said: "Inducing the inefficiency of the government and the system and distorting the capabilities and denying or weakening the great achievements of the country and nation is the main axis of psychological war."

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, at a meeting of the government's economic coordination headquarters on Tuesday, referred to the recent remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding the sinister short-term and long-term goals of the Iranian nation's long-time enemies, simultaneously, as the two currents of distortion and sanctions that seek to achieve these goals by halting the country's economic movement and undermining the achievements and despairing about the future.

Referring to the government's efforts in managing the country's economy, Rouhani said that the Iranian government has been able to manage the country for more than two and a half years of unprecedented pressure and full-scale economic war by significantly reducing its reliance on oil revenues so that essential necessities and basic goods needed by the people and the opening and launching of large projects in different parts of the country would be operationalized to continue the flow of non-oil exports and prevent the closure of production and unemployment.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran pointed to the severe damage caused by the outbreak of the Coronavirus on the world economy and even in developed and powerful countries, and said that comparing production in Iran with falling GDP in other countries, which is more than 10% in Europe and is 30% in the US, clearly shows that amid this global crisis, Iran's economy has shown higher resilience.
