US terrorist act against Iranian passenger plane requires reciprocal action: Official

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for Iran's Guardian Council called for reciprocal action in response to the approach of two US fighter jets to Iran's Mahan passenger plane.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to the action of two US fighter jets against the Iranian Mahan passenger plane on Thursday, the spokesman for Guardian Council Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei wrote on his Twitter account on Friday: "In return for violations by countries, in addition to legal action, it is necessary to use reciprocal action; Because legal action usually requires a longer time."

The official added: "The terrorist act of the US regime, in addition to the legal action emphasized by government officials, also requires reciprocal action."

Two American fighter jets came close to an Iranian passenger plane over Syrian airspace causing the pilot to change altitude quickly to avoid a collision, which injured several passengers.
