Uranium Enrichment on run in Iran Fordow plant

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Iranian parliament's National Security Commission said that at the Fordow nuclear facility, uranium enrichment of up to about 4.5 percent was done by 1,044 centrifuges.

Iran PressIran News: Abolfazl Amoui said on Monday that a number of members of parliament had visited the Nazanz (central Iran) and Fordow (south of Tehran) nuclear complexes.

According to senior parliamentarian with the efforts of Iranian nuclear scientists, the process of research and development of new generations of centrifuges, including "IR 6", "IR 8" and "IR 9" centrifuges continues.

Referring to the Natanz incident, Amoui added that the enrichment activity at the Natanz site continues at the previous level and the recent incident has not disrupted the activities of this site.

The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s parliament stated: "During this visit, the members of the Iranian Parliament announced their readiness to cooperate with the Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic to maintain and develop the country's nuclear achievements."

It is worth mentioning that one of the halls of the Natanz enrichment complex in the center of Iran had an accident on July 2.  207/219
